Old’s Cool Digital Intergenerational Practice Toolkit

This innovative project grew from the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and finding new ways of working to bring generations together and reduce social isolation.

LGBT+ Love and Relationships Creative Storytelling Project  

This project, delivered in partnership with Dundee University, used the power of Intergenerational storytelling to explore both generations individual experiences of love and relationships.  Click the link to see the Zine.

Since 2009 the Citadel has delivered quality Intergenerational work to local young and older people.

New Spin Intergenerational Café

The New Spin Intergenerational Café is delivered in partnership with Pilmeny Development Project and has been running since 2009.

New Spin provides opportunities for young people aged 10 – 18 and older adults 50+

Every Friday young and older people from the local community meet at the Citadel to try out an exciting range of activities including: arts and crafts, quizzes, pool, board games, table tennis, cooking and indoor curling to name a few.

Old’s Cool Intergenerational Project

The Citadel Youth Centre’s – Old’s Cool Intergenerational Project, now funded by the Big Lottery, was launched in 2015.  Old’s Cool supports young people (S1-S4) at risk of disengaging from school to facilitate activities with older people and deliver them in a medium of their choice.
