About Us

The Citadel Youth Centre offers local children & young people aged 6-18yrs a varied programme of play, activities and educational opportunities designed to encourage, develop & reinforce their skills and self image in a safe and supportive environment. The centre prioritises work with children and young people experiencing difficulties and/or coming from a background of disadvantage.

The Citadel is also firmly committed to developing opportunities around youth participation.

I’ve been going there for a couple of years and they’ve helped me a lot, if it wasn’t for them then I wouldn’t get most of the opportunities I get now. It’s helped me a lot, it’s helped me to produce myself into a better man and have some hope for myself in life, realise my own potential and hopefully to take it to the next level.

I get to have fun with other mums! And chat with other mums about kids.
